Operation Coordinator -Gummies

Position Summary:

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for analyzing inventory and documentation activities for Packaging/Manufacturing work orders. Collects and complies data on operation metrics for production, quality, safety, and makes recommendations for improvement. Handles a wide variety of general administrative and support functions in Packaging/Manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Collects, compiles, tracks, and reports on all work order procedures in Packaging/ Manufacturing/Inventory procedures and makes recommendations on process improvements.  Includes rework material issues, returns to stock, and reject processes.
  • Assembles and reviews Packaging/Manufacturing batch records.  Reconciles and documents changes and/or modifications.  Performs necessary computer related transactions.  Has the authority to sign off on the completeness and accuracy of batch records and ensures that all written specifications are complete and in compliance.
  • Validates bulk and label yields and reconciles any variances.  Documents appropriate exception reports for variances as required.
  • Collects documentation and prepares preliminary reports to assist in investigations on quality/documentation discrepancies and provides this information to the shift Supervisor.
  • Assigns Operators to Packaging lines/Manufacturing suites based on daily schedule.  Works with Planning and Warehouse to prioritize work orders on the packaging/manufacturing scheduling board, the department’s work with supervisors, or collaborates with planning departments and updates the production schedule.
  • Assists supervisors in developing and reporting department’s metrics including productivity, down time, work order yield and dollar variances.
  • Participates in physical counts, reconciling and systematically adjusting perpetual inventory records in Packaging/Manufacturing.  Periodically checks the completeness and accuracy of products delivered from the warehouse.  Recommends process and system improvements.  Develops and revises SOPs as required.
  • Routinely validates Finished Goods/Bulk pallet counts for Packaging. This includes maintaining pallet pattern instructions and quantities to insure they match the computer system.
  • Communicates and interacts routinely with cross functional groups, i.e., Manufacturing/Packaging (close out work orders), Production Planning (prioritize schedules), Quality (reviewing batch records for release), Operations Control (helping to maintain inventory), IT (to resolve JDE issues) and the Warehouse (returning components and raw materials to stock).
  • Provides assistance in composing, editing, preparing, and distributing materials for meetings and presentations to leadership.
  • Checks production schedule to determine variety and quantity of products to process.
  • Possesses knowledge of MBR (Master Batch Record) for Manufacturing/Packaging. Responsible for ensuring enough raw materials have been staged to complete batch/production run.
  • Performs close out of work orders in JDE in a timely manner.
  • Work with appropriate departments to ensure all raw material, bulk, and components are issued to work orders prior to close.
  • Enter product batch review right first time (RFT) information for monthly reporting. Reports on batch deficiencies as noted during review that may delay batch release.
  • Ensures documentation is maintained in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements (i.e. cGMP, etc.)   by assisting in training Operation’s hourly colleagues to be proficient in documentation practices and SOP’s.
  • Performs other related assignments and duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.  Two years of business school and/or associates college degree preferred.

Certification:

None

Experience:

Requires three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.  Software and data entry experience working with computer related systems. Experience developing spreadsheets and preparing reports in a business environment is required.

Annual Pay

Annual Pay Range

$43,153.00 - $64,678.00

This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.  This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.

Pharmavite provides compensation for all overtime hours worked by non-exempt (hourly) employees in accordance with state and federal law. The need to work overtime hours will be determined by management, based on customer and business necessity to meet the needs of our business, Pharmavite may require employees to work overtime.

Voluntary overtime requested by non-exempt employees must be approved in advance by the employee’s supervisor.
