Logistics Liaison

Position Summary
Coordinates activities to support daily execution of third-party provider’s activities while ensuring exceptional customer service, accurate order processing and on time delivery to customers, acts as liaison between Manager of 3PL Operations, Transportation, Customer Relationship and Replenishment groups and third-party provider.
Key Responsibilities
Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:
Oversees Third Party Logistics activities: ensuring exceptional customer service, accurate order pulling, on-time delivery of shipments and inventory management.
Identifies and communicates potential issues regarding customer service, inventory management and in-bound / out-bound freight. Works with Transportation Manager and/or Manager 3PL Operations to develop solutions and ensures they are implemented.
Visit customer warehouses or headquarters locations, understand their networks and identify opportunities to reduce cost or add customer value (receiving processes, packaging changes, etc.) while improving Pharmavite’s profitability or growing revenue.
Establishes distribution management (in-bound and out-bound freight) “Best Practices” within Pharmavite’s domestic supply chain.
Monitors performance levels and ensures Third Party Provider’s services and quality standards meet Pharmavite’s expectations.
Maintains solid communication with internal and external customers regarding business changes, shipping forecasts and other key planning data.
Prepares and monitors Third Party Logistics budget, coordinates quarterly reviews, and partners with Third Party Provider to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.

The ideal candidate for a logistics liaison position typically has a combination of skills, experience, and qualities that allow them to facilitate smooth communication and coordination between Pharmavite departments, 3PL, and transportation carriers.
Critical Success Factors
You’ll be most successful in this role if you have:
The liaison needs to communicate clearly with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and resolve issues.
A logistics liaison must be detail-oriented to manage complex supply chain processes, schedules, and documentation.
Quick thinking and adaptability are necessary to handle unexpected issues like delays, shortages, or logistical constraints.
A strong understanding of shipping, warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
Previous experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is often required.
The ability to interpret logistics data and make decisions based on key metrics (e.g., shipping times, cost efficiency).
Capabilities & Skills Required
In order to take on these challenges, you’ll need to have:
Requires a four-year college or university degree, preferably in Business, Logistics or Supply chain.
Requires five to eight years’ experience in inventory and production control, warehousing and/or manufacturing including a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
Experience working for or coordinating third party logistics or providers is required.
Comprehensive knowledge of inventory control and materials warehousing processes.
Excellent organizational, analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
Ability to interface, negotiate and successfully persuade third party provider to provide required level of performance.
Strong knowledge of spreadsheet software required.

Annual Pay Range
$74,620.00 - $112,135.00This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.
