The Environment Engineer will lead and manage the site environmental compliance program. Provides SME leadership and work collaboratively with functional departments to implement environmental risk mitigation solutions. Assesses and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal environmental rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities

As SME lead and manage the site environmental compliance program.
Drive continuous improvement of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
Develop plans, work instructions, and regulatory reports. Ensure data reported to regulatory agencies is complete and accurate.
Develop and implement training and educational tools to support environmental compliance.
Facilitate environmental incident investigations, including root cause investigation and corrective actions.
Conduct compliance audits and manage inspection programs, communicate identified compliance gaps, and facilitate sustainable corrective actions.

Critical Success Factors
You’ll be most successful in this role if you have:
Technical knowledge of RCRA, CAA, CWA, OPA, EPCRA, and DOT state counterparts within the context of recognizing applicability and compliance requirements for site operations.
Successful working relationships with state and local regulatory agencies (DTSC, CUPA, AQMD, CARB, SWRCB, LARWQCB, LACSD, and LACPW).
Able to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and work with agility across those responsibilities.
Experience working with cross functional teams and ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical employees.
Mentoring on-site teams to develop and leverage resources for executing environmental and regulatory programs and activities.
Able to define problems, compile operational data, and develop regulatory reports.
Capabilities & Skills Required
In order to take on these challenges, you’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or collegein environmental science, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant California regulatory experience.
ISO 14001 experience.

Annual Pay Range
$102,193.00 - $153,340.00This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.
