The Warehouse Lead provides leadership for forklift operators to ensure all materials are systematically verified upon receipt. Ensures orders are accurately pulled, palletized, prepared according to customer requirements and shipped in a timely manner to meet due dates and/or schedules either for internal or external customers. The Warehouse Lead reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:

  • Provides direction and training for shipping, receiving, and/or warehousing employees, assigning work, following up to ensure accuracy and completeness and providing solutions to routine problems as necessary.

  • Performs any/all duties of a Forklift Operator and/or Customer Order Filler.

  • Understands changing priorities and reassigns staff for optimum workflow accordingly. Watch for internal shipments and ensures materials are in route to other warehouse locations.

  • Maintains control logs, reports and maintains cleanliness of warehouse.

  • Performs related duties as required in compliance with safety rules and ensures subordinates do likewise.

  • Solves issues using Prism software, Cycle Counters, Inventory Analysts and Material Control Specialists.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate is a motivated detail-oriented individual with a minimum of 3 years of experience in leading a team of warehouse employees to manage the day effectively and efficiently to activities of the Distribution Center. Well organized, demonstrating flexibility to adapt to requirement changes and actively achieve company’s goals while meeting customer’s needs. Thrive in a fast-pace environment performing regular and reoccurring duties simultaneously with minimum supervision. Proven team player able to work and communicate with people at all levels of an organization.

Critical Success Factors:

You'll be most successful in this role if you have:

  • Ability to work with people and Management team at different levels.

  • Competent knowledge of receiving, inventory control and materials procedures.

  • Good organizational, analytical, oral and written communication skills.

  • Effective skills to train, assign work, & provide guidance to staff.

  • Ability to listen, provide verbal directions to staff; respond to electronic requests, while working on other activities.

  • Working knowledge in ERP, WMS, & radio frequency systems.

Required Skills & Capabilities:

To take on these challenges, you'll need to have:

  • High School diploma/ or GED.

  • Very effective oral communications skills to train, assign work, and provide guidance to staff.

  • Fluent in English, reading, writing and speaking skills.

  • Familiarity with computer records maintenance; and basic keyboard skills to enter data.

  • Physical ability to reach, push, pull and lift boxes weighing 3 to 45 pounds of raw material and moving palletized material using the Reach forklift, pallet jacks to different parts of the warehouse.

  • Basic arithmetic skills.

  • Proficient in MS Excel & Word

  • Basic computer literacy including system log-in, navigation, keyboard & internet/web-based application use.

Annual Pay

Annual Pay Range

$41,308.00 - $61,808.00

This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.  This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.

Pharmavite provides compensation for all overtime hours worked by non-exempt (hourly) employees in accordance with state and federal law. The need to work overtime hours will be determined by management, based on customer and business necessity to meet the needs of our business, Pharmavite may require employees to work overtime.

Voluntary overtime requested by non-exempt employees must be approved in advance by the employee’s supervisor.
