The Communications Specialist is responsible for assisting in the evaluation, development, and execution of communications and public relations efforts with the goal of elevating Pharmavite’s portfolio of brands among key internal and external stakeholders, predominately for its Specialty Brands. Pharmavite’s Specialty Brands include its Women’s Health group (Equelle, Uqora and Bonafide Health) and MegaFood.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work closely with Director, Communications to drive corporate and brand-specific communications and public relations strategies in support of organizational priorities and efforts.
- Anticipate and help manage key communications issues, including writing, editing and managing on multiple communications projects simultaneously.
- Manage day-to-day key communications channels, including the company’s intranet, digital signage and more.
- Implement the team’s content creation strategy including stills, video, communications campaigns and more to elevate the company’s visual storytelling both internally and externally.
- Liaise with the brand’s social media teams to advise on strategy and alignment with communications priorities.
- Leverage best practices to engage consumer, trade, and business media, industry key opinion leaders, influencers, and consumers with dynamic content that strengthens brand and product affinity, top of mind awareness, and reputation.
- Coordinate organizational presence and craft correlating briefing materials for speaking opportunities, panel appearances, trade shows, conferences, and other industry-focused events.
- Remain up to speed on the media landscape and proactively identify strategic opportunities within consumer, business, and trade verticals that will help achieve PR goals and objectives.
- Monitor industry and competitive landscape, report relevant updates to key organizational stakeholders, and engage relevant organizational team members for support on reactive communication strategies and applicable materials, as needed.
- Monitor, track, analyze, evaluate, and report on key efforts and merchandize relevant insights, learnings, and implications to key organizational stakeholders.
- Serve as an internal event and logistics planner with a focus on supporting key group meetings, including Women’s Health annual kick-off meeting, Town Halls, Extended Leadership Team meeting and more.
- Liaise with organizational partners, as well as external vendors and partners, to execute public relations strategies and tactics.
- Work with various functional teams at all levels in a consultative manner.
- Maintain corporate communication and public relations documents according to company’s document retention policy.
- Support the Director, Communications in budget tracking. Handles all contracts.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of 4 years of PR agency experience or in-house strategic public relations and corporate communications role. Experience in a start-up environment, strong content creation skills, and experience planning events/meetings a plus.
Requirements for this role:
- Excellent written verbal communication skills with an understanding of how to effectively articulate to a variety of audiences
- Ability to develop and execute written and visual communications campaigns both internally and externally.
- Strong understanding of the media landscape and experience working with media, as well as experience with monitoring platforms, wire services, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of internal communications and PR-specific KPIs and reporting techniques, with the ability to interpret and utilize data to inform strategies.
- Ability to engage others at all levels of the organization and externally by developing and maintaining effective relationships.
- Demonstrated ability working in a deadline-driven environment and meeting deadlines while handling multiple concurrent assignments.
- Competency in project management, team building, cross functional collaboration, and outside vendor management.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Demonstrated organizational, problem solving, priority setting and tactical skills.
- Quick study and self-starter with ability to initiate outreach to key players
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information
- Proficiency with AP writing style; ability to proofread and edit materials.
- Highly developed presentation and PowerPoint skills critical.
Education:
Position requires a BA/BS. A degree in communications, journalism or public relations is preferred.

Annual Pay Range
$81,488.00 - $122,283.00This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.
