The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all corporate accounting processes within a strong control environment. This role oversees the month-end closing process to ensure alignment with the parent company’s reporting calendar. Key responsibilities include managing the accounting for fixed assets, coupons, commissions, DTC sales, cash management, prepaids, intercompany transactions, and consolidations. The Corporate Accounting Manager reports to the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting and Reporting and leads a team of three accounting professionals.

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:
Foster a high-performance work environment by developing staff technical and interpersonal skills; setting clear objectives, communicating goals, providing constructive feedback, conducting timely performance evaluations, and maintaining open communication with direct reports on work and results
Manage the month-end closing process, ensuring a disciplined and efficient accounting closing and reporting process, delivering timely and accurate financial reports.
Monitor key performance indicators related to team performance and accounting accuracy to drive continuous improvement
Interpret and ensure adherence to Company policies and procedures and IFRS, ensuring consistent compliance by the team and other departments
Introduce automation, AI, and new technology to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency to make financial operations faster, smoother, and more scalable
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support strategic decision-making and ensure alignment with organizational objectives
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate can dive deep into the details, take a step back, and understand the big picture. You are passionate about accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of financial data and developing the same characteristics in your team.
You’ll be most successful in this role if you have:
Proven experience in training and mentoring accountants with varying levels of expertise
Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment
Advanced ability to understand, adhere to, and improve policies and procedures related to internal controls compliance
Strong planning and organizational skills to effectively balance and prioritize tasks
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across internal, external, and cross-functional teams
In order to take on these challenges, you’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA designation is desired
5 to 8 years of accounting experience with 1 to 3 years of experience in an accounting leadership role, preferably in manufacturing or consumer products
Prior experience in a Big Four public accounting firm is highly desirable
Experience with sophisticated ERP systems, JD Edwards being a plus
Proven experience managing monthly closings, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and deliverables
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, particularly in using analytics tools

The salary range for this position is $106,000.00 to $180,000.00.
Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications, and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K match, and other wellness benefits.
